A series of renders I have produced working under the guidance of Chris Tate, the prestigious New Zealand-based Architect. Displayed below are a series of renders from projects across the globe including the sunny shores of Indonesia, the snowy peaks of America, and the rolling hills of Queenstown. All created using only SketchUp Models & Photoshop.
Wave House: Elegant Glass curves overlooking Auckland City from the shores of Devonport

Oneroa, Waiheke Island, NZ: Hidden behind dense local vegetation, the concrete perimeter walls of this home enclose an internal courtyard and living quarters. A white canopy spans over the courtyard, cantilevering to shelter the building entry.

Queenstown Hills, NZ: A long modernist volume settles itself low in the landscape, with stunning views out to both the ocean and mountains beyond.

Powder Mountain Ski Resort, Utah: Rising from the earth, a bold white volume cantilevers out above the landscape as a viewing deck whilst blending into the snowy Powder Mountains.

Powder Mountain Ski Resort Interior, Utah: Timber-clad ceilings and walls accentuate the length of the space and frame the view across the picturesque landscape.

Lom Bok House, Bali: A clean, Modernist volume lined with Timber Slats frames the Lom Bok coastline, suspended upon a main column and rockwalls.

Timber Slat House, Red Canyon, Utah: Timber slats are suspended above a pool and fireplace area, whilst the house uses local red rock to blend into the colours of the desert landscape.

House in Lom Bok, Bali: The organic form settles into the green landscape, where the curves of the house are extended out into the deck area. These curves serve as inspiration for the flowing pool shape, giving a sense of continuity between the building, outdoor living space, and landscape.

House in Lom Bok, Bali: The Modernist form sits high in the mountains, overlooking the stunning Lom Bok coastline. Its' porous arrangement encourages an indoor/outdoor flow of living, with large curtains serving as privacy when necessary.

Rose Gold Mirror House, Powder Mountain, Utah: The fully-glazed front facade of the house overlooks the snowy peaks of the Powder Mountains, whilst blending into its' context by reflecting the stunning landscape.

Concept for House in Lom Bok: The long, Modernist form adjoins two opposing living spaces, whilst the central area of the house acts as a sheltered outdoor living space. Anchored by a large rockwall, the roofspace provides a pool overlooking the stunning Lom Bok coastline.
